Jun. 22 - Present. Viridis serves as the main sub-consultant advisor to Energy Solutions’ Consumer Protections Group of the Illinois Shines Program. We develop recommendations to enhance consumer protection safeguards and contribute to other program operation areas such as application processing. We have created and launched several Standard Operating Procedures to support program compliance.

Jun. 23 - Present. Viridis is leading the market development for an innovative cleantech manufacturer with a process to produce carbon-neutral hydrogen. Focusing on California, Viridis is aligning technology capabilities with market needs and leveraging strategic partnerships through activities such as market analysis, defining target segments, articulating the technology’s value proposition, refining the business model, understanding the regulatory and policy landscape, and executing an iterative implementation that adapts to market dynamics.

Clean Energy Tech | Technology Feasibility and Application

 2022 - Present.  Viridis is serving as the project manager for the decarbonization of a 404-unit multifamily complex in Southern California called Heather Village. The project was awarded a Quick Start Grant as part of TECH Clean California and includes an electrification feasibility study and a demonstration project to convert several gas boilers to electric hot water heat pumps.  

Dallas Fort Worth Airport

Airports | Innovation Management

  Jan. - Aug. 2021. Viridis served as project manager for the development of a digital twin of Terminal D. The digital twin applied advanced building modeling using digitization and point clouds to create a 3D simulation. The project was completed within 11 months and lessons from this pilot led to an expanded scope to create digital twins of other airport facilities. Viridis continues to serve as a subcontractor supporting the Airport's sustainability initiatives.

 2019 - 2020. Viridis served as the internal subject matter expert (SME) of third-party program implementers, as part of the revamp of the utility's energy efficiency portfolio. Viridis assisted in the contract development of several program contracts. Viridis’ scope included establishing a negotiations process, implementer/contractor key performance metrics, and a data security/cybersecurity requirements process review.

 Nov. 20 - Feb. 2021. Evaluated the top DERMS providers in the market to assess the capabilities and experience of the various DERMS providers. The assessment included understanding the existing and new use cases where behind-the-meter DERs in their territory can help increase revenue, increase power resiliency in their territory or reduce cost.

2021. Gridpoint’s building energy management technology enables utilities to better engage with their commercial customers and serves as a link to enable enhanced demand management. Viridis was brought in to define their go to market strategy with utilities by clearly defining their needs, key decision makers, and partners. From there, Viridis re-evaluated their existing marketing and product positioning to clearly articulate a value proposition that addresses the emerging non-wires alternative solutions critical to the emerging needs of utilities.  

California Utility

 Utility | Energy Equity Program Strategy 

 2021-2022.  Viridis worked collaboratively with a California utility’s low-income program team in support of operationalizing key program  changes directed by the CPUC. Viridis developed a negotiations strategy and process that facilitated the utility’s ability to smoothly negotiate and execute contracts as part of a time-intensive and high-profile regulatory process. Viridis' scope included organizing the bidders call, establishing the negotiations approach, and working closely with the programs team on key metrics related to performance, pricing and schedule.
